Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Information Security Officer (ISO) at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) in Nuremberg. Day-to-day tasks include advising organizational units on IT security, developing and updating IT security concepts, reporting security incidents to CERT-Bund, and evaluating vulnerability advisories. The position also involves conducting basic security checks, risk analyses for IT projects, and assisting with information security audits. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, Cyber Security, Mathematics, or another relevant field with an IT focus; or a completed MINT profession with an IT focus.

Experience

Professional experience in IT security, particularly with BSI IT-Grundschutz and Umsetzungsplan Bund (UP Bund) is ideal
Foundational IT knowledge and IT security knowledge (e.g., countermeasures for security vulnerabilities, current research, exchange with experts) is beneficial
Proven knowledge in project management (e.g., IT security topics in V-Modell XT, project phases, shaping project management in IT security) is desirable
Alternatively, at least three years of professional experience in an IT position comparable to salary groups E 10 to E 12, Part III, Section 24 TV EntgO Bund

Willingness to undergo and successfully complete an extended security clearance (SÜ 2) according to § 9 SÜG.
For foreign university degrees, proof of comparability and recognition by the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) is required.
