Job Summary
Join the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) in Nuremberg or Berlin as an IT Specialist in Software Development and DevOps. You'll be instrumental in advancing the agency's digital transformation, contributing to a microservice-based IT infrastructure and agile software development. This role involves conceptualizing new software services, developing applications using modern technologies, and coordinating their implementation. You will also manage application operations on an OpenShift-based cloud platform, configure build environments, and develop scripts for Continuous Delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to work with innovative technologies like Blockchain and AI, supporting critical asylum and integration systems, and contributing to a future-proof digital government.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Bachelor's level) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or another relevant field with IT focus, or a completed MINT profession with IT focus. Alternatively, an equivalent diploma from a recognized professional academy in the aforementioned fields.
Experience
- Professional experience in software development is beneficial
- Theoretical knowledge or practical experience with programming languages (.NET/Java, Angular) is beneficial
- Theoretical knowledge or practical experience with scripting languages and database systems is beneficial
- Knowledge and experience with technology stacks (e.g., Spring Boot Framework, ORM-Frameworks, MVVM-Pattern) is ideal
- Knowledge in development using classical and agile software development methodologies (e.g., V-Model, SCRUM) is beneficial
- Knowledge and experience in DevOps-oriented application development (conception, maintenance, further development with Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment strategies) is ideal
- Knowledge and experience in application operations and infrastructures and containerized environments is ideal
- Minimum three years of professional experience in an IT role (alternative to academic degree)

- Willingness to undergo a simple security clearance (SÜ1) as required by § 5 AsylG i.V.m. § 8 SÜG.
