This full-time, permanent position involves leading the 'Control and Administration' unit within the East Construction Department of the Stuttgart Regional Council. You will manage a team of 12 employees, overseeing the implementation of mobility-related measures across several districts. Your daily responsibilities include managing administrative workflows, handling legal matters related to road construction, and drafting responses to inquiries from ministries and the press. A significant portion of the role focuses on financial controlling for state and federal budgets, as well as maintaining road databases and ensuring occupational safety. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Public Management, Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), or Diploma in Public Administration (Diplom-Verwaltungswirt/in FH).

Experience

  • Several years of broad professional experience as a civil servant at the A12 salary grade level
  • Professional experience in personnel management and team leadership
  • Experience in managing budget titles and knowledge of budget law
  • Proven experience in systematic and independent working methods, particularly with high-volume financial measures

  • Must be currently in a civil service relationship (Beamtenverhältnis) at the A12 grade level. Location is either Ellwangen or Schwäbisch Hall. Weekly working hours are 41 hours.
