Job Summary

As a Commissioning Technician / Field Engineer at green flexibility, you will play a hands-on role in the energy transition by bringing megawatt-scale battery storage systems online across Germany. Your daily responsibilities include conducting on-site commissioning for batteries, inverters, and energy management systems, performing rigorous functional and acceptance tests, and troubleshooting complex issues using measurements and logs. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact on construction sites, coordinating between EPCs, suppliers, and internal teams to bridge electrical and IT/OT interfaces. This position is ideal for technical experts who enjoy field work and want to take ownership of the final stages of large-scale renewable energy projects. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in electrical engineering with further qualification as a Master Craftsman (Meister), Technician, or a comparable degree.

Experience

  • Professional experience in commissioning, service, or operation of technical plants
  • Experience working with automation and communication interfaces is highly preferred
  • Proven track record in systematic error analysis and technical troubleshooting
  • Experience coordinating with external suppliers and EPC contractors on-site
