Job Summary
This role involves managing the technical building equipment for the City of Herne's extensive real estate portfolio, which includes administrative buildings, cultural centers, and schools. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle—from planning and tendering to construction management and final accounting—for electrical and telecommunications systems. You will work closely with internal departments and external planners to ensure the maintenance, renovation, and operational safety of municipal properties. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Master) in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in maintenance planning and servicing of electrical systems
- Experience in project planning, tendering, and accounting for electrical installations
- Experience with public procurement law and HOAI regulations
- Several years of relevant professional experience in electrical and telecommunications engineering is preferred
Languages
Additional
- Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a service vehicle. Requires C1 level German proficiency (proof must be submitted with application). Position is based in Herne, Germany.
