Job Summary
As a Robotics Vision Software Engineer, you will be the architect behind the visual intelligence of autonomous robotic systems. Your day-to-day involves developing and implementing innovative software solutions for vision, perception, and localization. You will design and optimize algorithms for object recognition in depth images, transforming sensor data into precise decisions within the ROS2 framework. This role bridges the gap between theory and practice by combining deep learning infrastructures with classical image processing. You will take ownership of the 'celluveyor' vision infrastructure and analyze real-world challenges at customer sites. The position is ideal for those who enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration and want to see their code drive physical machines in the real world. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact the future of intralogistics automation.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study; or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in robotics and image processing algorithms
- Hands-on experience implementing neural networks for image processing
- Proven experience with C++ and Python in a Linux environment
- Experience working with ROS2 framework and OpenCV
- Experience in software development lifecycle using Git and GitLab
- Practical experience in analyzing and testing software on physical robotic systems
Languages
Additional
- The role requires the ability to work on-site for testing software at customer facilities and demo plants. Candidates must be comfortable working in an interdisciplinary team environment.
