Job Summary

This role is situated within the Press and Strategic Communication unit of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) in Berlin. As a Student Assistant, you will act as a vital link between the ministry and the media landscape. Your primary day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring incoming emails, handling press inquiries via telephone, and evaluating agency reports to compile media summaries. You will also be responsible for formatting and distributing press releases. This position is ideal for students in journalism or political science who are looking for a flexible weekend role (8 hours per week) within a high-profile government institution. Required Skills

  • Willingness to work exclusively on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). Successful completion of a security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung) is a mandatory requirement for hiring. Applicants with foreign degrees must provide proof of equivalence via the ZAB.
