Job Summary
As a Biological Technical Assistant at the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IFA), you will play a vital role in making workplaces safer and healthier. Based in the microbiology laboratory, your day-to-day responsibilities involve processing biological substance samples using MALDI-TOF-MS and managing various microbiological and biochemical analytical procedures. You will be actively involved in quality assurance, method development, and the revision of standard operating procedures. Beyond the lab, you will conduct special investigations and field measurements at member companies, while also supporting training seminars and providing expert advice. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant in Biology (BTA), Medicine (MTA), Environmental Technology (UTA), Agricultural Technology (LTA), or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in handling biological substance samples
- Demonstrated knowledge in the field of microbiological analysis techniques
- Experience in an analytical laboratory environment
- Experience in quality assurance and method development processes
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license is an advantage. Position is fixed-term until September 30, 2026, with an option for extension. Location: Sankt Augustin.
