Job Summary

As a Planning Engineer, you will take independent responsibility for complex project tasks related to the decommissioning of the Morsleben radioactive waste repository. Your day-to-day work involves creating professional procedural and permit documentation, as well as participating in the engineering planning and implementation of geotechnical structures, such as drift seals and borehole seals. You will be responsible for evaluating the functionality of these structures and presenting results to internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a background in mining or civil engineering who enjoys technical documentation and quality assurance. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the planning and implementation of construction measures or the construction of engineering structures
  • Professional experience in creating technical reports in German
  • Professional experience in developing quality assurance programs and documentation
  • Experience in contract processing and steering of external partners is preferred

Additional

  • Must be fit for underground work (GesBergV Annex 2.1.2 - less than 80 shifts in non-coal mining); health certificate for VDU work (G37) required; location requires ability to present results to German authorities.
