Job Summary
As an IT Support Specialist at Aachener Stadtbetrieb, you will be the primary technical contact for internal and external teams, ensuring the high performance of the city's digital infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities include managing hardware and software lifecycles, administering user permissions, and providing first-level support. Beyond troubleshooting, you will play a strategic role by leading IT infrastructure projects, selecting new hardware, and developing IT security and data protection concepts. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field; OR completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, Electronics Technician for Information and Systems Technology, or IT Systems Clerk.
Experience
- Professional experience in a relevant IT support or technical field is desirable
- Experience in IT project management, specifically in selecting and implementing hardware
- Proven experience in user administration and data backup processes
- Experience in developing IT security and data protection concepts
