This role involves leading and developing the Coordination Office within the Department of Security and Order for the City of Aachen. As the Team Lead, you will serve as the central steering hub for public order field services, managing the intake of reports and coordinating the deployment of various enforcement units. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the legal assessment and prioritization of incidents, creating duty rosters for shift work, and ensuring seamless communication between internal departments and external partners like the police and fire services. You will also play a strategic role in developing protection concepts for major events and managing projects related to equipment like body cams and radio systems. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Public Administration, Law, Administrative Management, or equivalent qualification (e.g., Administrative Examination II/Verwaltungslehrgang II, Diploma in Finance or Judicial Administration).

Experience

  • Professional experience in public administration or a related legal field
  • Experience in the application of public order law is highly desirable
  • Previous leadership experience or completion of a management trainee program is preferred
  • Experience in coordinating field services or emergency response units is beneficial
  • Proven ability to work in a shift-based environment including weekends and holidays
