Job Summary

As a Materials Failure Analyst for Airbus Operations in Bremen, you will play a critical role within the Materials & Processes Laboratories Team. Your day-to-day activities involve conducting in-depth failure investigations on a variety of aerospace materials and components, with a particular focus on structural alloys. You will be responsible for determining failure mechanisms through fractographic analysis and material characterization methods such as metallography and chemical testing. A key part of the role is synthesizing complex data into high-quality technical reports that support aircraft safety and operational reliability. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on laboratory work combined with analytical problem-solving. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Engineering, Research and Development (R&D), or Material Testing
  • Experience in performing material characterization and failure mechanism determination
  • Experience in aerospace materials and structural applications is preferred
  • Experience working within accredited testing and calibration laboratory environments
