Job Summary

This role involves the administration and continuous development of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) within a large-scale clinical environment at the University Hospital Münster. As an IT Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for managing complex applications such as Opus::L, Dorner, and WinTransmed, ensuring the seamless integration of laboratory devices and clinical communication protocols. Your day-to-day will include consulting with users, coordinating with external service providers, and implementing specialized technical solutions for medical diagnostics. You will play a critical role in digitizing patient care by maintaining high-availability systems and managing master data. This position is particularly attractive due to its secure public service contract (TV-L), 30+ days of annual leave, and the opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge medical research and clinical practice within one of the region's largest IT organizations.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in IT/Computer Science (Bachelor/Master), completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, or a comparable qualification in a STEM field or medical field (MFA/MT-L) with high IT affinity.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the administration of complex IT systems and applications
  • Professional experience in laboratory or transfusion medicine environments
  • Proven experience in the administration and maintenance of master data for LIS systems (e.g., Opus::L, WinTransmed)
  • Practical experience in connecting laboratory hardware and devices
  • Experience with clinical communication protocols and scripting languages
