As an IT Systems Specialist at the University Hospital Münster, you will play a pivotal role in the digitalization of healthcare by managing the central Patient Data Management System (PDMS), specifically Copra. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the technical administration, maintenance, and planning of system updates and expansions within intensive care and anesthesia environments. You will act as a bridge between technical infrastructure and medical staff, ensuring that complex information systems and medical device integrations function seamlessly to support patient care. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Information Technology, vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker), or a comparable qualification in a related field (e.g., Nursing or Medical Assistant with high IT affinity and intensive care/anesthesia experience).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the administration of complex IT systems and applications, preferably with Copra PDMS
  • Professional experience in medical and nursing documentation processes within a hospital environment
  • Practical experience in connecting medical devices to IT systems
  • Initial experience working with clinical communication protocols such as HL7 or FHIR
  • Demonstrated experience in problem analysis, process design, and project-based work

Additional

  • Proof of full measles vaccination protection is required by law. Candidates must be able to work on-site in Münster. Position is permanent and full-time (38.5 hours/week).
