Job Summary

This role is a three-year PhD position within the research group of Dr. med. Alexander Busch at the University Hospital Münster (UKM). As part of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre 1748, you will investigate the genetic and molecular mechanisms of the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HGP) axis, specifically focusing on testosterone action and reproductive disorders. Day-to-day, you will implement laboratory and computational workflows, collect high-throughput data, and characterize molecular mechanisms using functional genomics. The position is ideal for candidates seeking an interdisciplinary environment that bridges clinical research with advanced bioinformatics. You will benefit from a structured PhD training program, a salary based on the TV-L E13 scale (65%), and a collaborative network involving the Max Planck Institute and multiple universities. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in reproductive health while developing expertise in single-nucleus RNA-seq and computational biology.
