Job Summary

This full-time research position at the Institute of Anatomy and Molecular Neurobiology offers a dynamic opportunity to engage in high-level scientific research and academic teaching. The successful candidate will join a team focused on molecular and cellular neurosciences, specifically investigating the mechanisms of synapse formation and the regulation of neurotransmission via synaptic cell surface molecules. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting advanced laboratory experiments, contributing to third-party funded projects (such as DFG), and delivering human anatomy curricula to medical and dental students. Required Skills

Education

Above-average university degree in a relevant natural science or medicine; completed Doctorate (PhD/MD) with excellent results or nearing completion of a dissertation.

Experience

  • Extensive professional experience in neurobiological methods including cell culture and biochemistry
  • Significant experience in microscopic analysis or electrophysiology
  • Experience or strong interest in university-level teaching for medical students
  • Professional experience in macroscopic and microscopic human anatomy
