Job Summary

As a Junior Research Group Leader at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Clinical Research (IZKF) in Münster, you will lead an independent research group within the Faculty of Medicine. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve spearheading high-level scientific research that aligns with the faculty’s core focus areas, including inflammation, vascular systems, neural systems, or cell differentiation. You will be responsible for managing your own research budget, supervising junior staff, and collaborating across various scientific disciplines such as biology, physics, and medicine. This position is particularly attractive as it offers a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to choose your host institution within the Medical Faculty. It provides a structured 4-year term (extendable by 2 years) designed to bridge the gap between postdoctoral work and a full professorship, supported by a prestigious scientific alliance and access to state-of-the-art clinical and basic research facilities.
