Job Summary
As an Environmental Protection Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting power plant operations across several German locations, including Essen-Karnap and Ludwigshafen. Your daily responsibilities involve providing expert advice to plant management and staff on water-steam cycle chemistry and water protection. You will act as a technical liaison for laboratory operations, manage specialized projects, and collaborate with the permitting department to prepare regulatory applications. This role is central to RWE's commitment to climate neutrality, requiring you to support environmental audits and engage with both internal and external stakeholders to improve processes. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Power Plant and Energy Technology, Process Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in power plant chemistry and the water-steam cycle
- Professional experience in the field of water protection
- Experience in providing advisory support to operational teams and management
- Experience in process improvement and project management within a technical environment
