Job Summary

As a Histology Technical Assistant at BioNTech in Mainz, you will play a crucial role in processing patient samples for clinical studies. Your daily tasks will involve independently performing histological work, including processing fresh tissue samples, generating FFPE blocks, and preparing paraffin sections. You will also be responsible for operating and maintaining histology equipment such as microtomes, staining machines, and digital slide scanners, along with automated large-scale systems. Meticulous documentation of workflows using electronic data management systems (MES, LIMS) is also a key part of the role. This position requires a background in biological technical assistance, strong histological knowledge, and a precise, structured work ethic, with a willingness to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
