This role involves joining the 'Optical Components and Systems' working group at Fraunhofer ENAS to shape the future of photonic and spectral sensor systems. Day-to-day, you will develop micro-optical and photonic integrated components for high-impact applications such as hyperspectral imaging, laser technology, and inertial sensing. Your responsibilities include designing components, performing simulations, and characterizing finished parts using electro-optical measurement technology. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's or equivalent) in Natural Sciences or Engineering, preferably in Microtechnology, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the design and simulation of micro-optical components such as couplers and resonators
  • Practical experience in using electro-optical measurement technology for analyzing photonic structures
  • Experience in applying simulation software and programming for measurement data evaluation
  • Experience working within interdisciplinary research or industrial projects

Additional
