Job Summary

As a Research Associate at the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Battery Cell Production (FFB), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable battery manufacturing in Europe. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve developing innovative concepts for energy consumption in battery production, managing research projects focused on renewable energy systems, and overseeing the implementation of energy management systems according to ISO 50001 standards. You will analyze energy flows within the FFB PreFab facilities, coordinate with internal and external partners, and mentor students. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Renewable Energies, Engineering, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the design, planning, or implementation of renewable energy plants or energy supply systems
  • Experience in analyzing energy flows or production processes
  • Experience with ISO 50001 energy management systems is preferred
  • Experience in project acquisition and coordination
  • Experience in academic supervision of students or interns

Additional

  • The position follows the TVöD Bund collective agreement for public service. Includes 30 days of vacation plus specific regional holidays (Rose Monday, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve). Flexible work arrangements including home office are available.
