Job Summary

As a Power Grid Development Engineer within the technical asset management department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the energy transition. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the strategic planning and optimization of high, medium, and low-voltage power grids. You will perform complex load flow and short-circuit current calculations using PowerFactory to identify bottlenecks and derive technical solutions. Additionally, you will evaluate the grid connection feasibility for large-scale consumers, renewable energy plants, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable engineering qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in grid calculation and strategic asset management with a focus on grid development
  • Practical experience using PowerFactory for grid optimization and reliability calculations
  • Technical experience with distribution networks, operating equipment, and regulatory frameworks
  • Professional experience handling renewable energy plants and storage systems is preferred
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary project teams
