Job Summary
This role involves leading the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) coordination department for the Citizen's Service Office in Stuttgart. You will be responsible for managing a team of two and ensuring the operational readiness of hardware and software across 190 workstations and 65 mobile units. A significant part of the role includes managing the 'KM-Ewo' specialized application, supporting over 3,100 users across 21 municipal offices. Day-to-day tasks involve first-level support, incident management, user authorization administration, and providing technical advice for digital administrative services. You will also handle data protection matters related to registration records and statistics. This position is ideal for those seeking a stable public service career with leadership responsibilities, offering a balance between technical administration and strategic project work within a municipal environment. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Public Management, Digital Administrative Management, or a comparable university degree; or a qualification as a Certified Administrative Manager (Verwaltungsfachwirt); or a completed three-year vocational training in the IT sector.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT coordination or administrative management
- Leadership experience in managing small teams or departments
- Experience in handling specialized administrative software and hardware infrastructure
- Experience in data protection and registration law (Melderegister)
- Experience in project work and IT consulting within a public administration context
Languages
Additional
- Must be eligible for German civil service (Beamte) or public sector employment (TVöD). Willingness to complete additional administrative qualification courses if necessary.
