Job Summary

As a Generator Winding Technician at Siemens Energy, you will join the Specialist Generator Field Service team to ensure global service commitments are met. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve traveling to international customer sites to perform complex installations, maintenance, and repairs on large-scale generators. This includes rewinding stators and rotors, conducting systematic troubleshooting, and performing electrical measurements such as insulation testing. You will also be responsible for technical documentation and ensuring strict adherence to EHS safety standards while guiding local personnel. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electrical Machine Builder, Electrician, Mechatronics Technician, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in plant engineering or power plant technology
  • Extensive experience working with large electrical machines
  • Proven experience in winding techniques and electrical diagnostics
  • Experience in technical documentation and reporting in both German and English
  • Experience in leading or instructing local personnel on-site

Additional

  • Willingness to travel globally up to 100% of the time, including long-term assignments. Valid Class B driver's license required. Ideally holds safety certifications such as Qualified Electrician or SCC/VCA.
