Job Summary

As a Senior ILS Engineer, you will be a vital member of the project core team at Siemens Energy, ensuring the technical integrity and supportability of complex marine solutions. Your daily responsibilities include creating electronic technical manuals (S1000D), developing functional diagrams for troubleshooting, and calculating RAM/LCC metrics such as MTBF and MTTR. You will act as a proactive bridge between technical departments and customers, translating complex engineering data into accessible documentation and maintenance strategies. This role is particularly attractive for professionals who enjoy high-stakes environments, as it involves working on both commercial and military maritime projects, including submarines and specialized vessels. You will have the opportunity to influence the entire lifecycle of a product, from initial bidding and spare parts planning to conducting customer training sessions, all while contributing to the decarbonization of the marine industry.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering or successful qualification as a Technician with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in project execution, engineering, and/or maintenance of industrial plants
  • Extensive experience in analyzing circuit diagrams and describing technical relationships
  • Proven experience in creating technical descriptions and conducting training sessions
  • Experience in the shipbuilding sector (surface or underwater) is advantageous
  • Experience with German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) maintenance is desirable
  • Experience with XML formats and databases is preferred
