Job Summary

As a Lead Engineer for Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), you will serve as a vital member of the project core team, providing expert guidance on ILS tasks within the shipbuilding sector. Your daily responsibilities include creating electronic technical manuals according to S1000D and S2000M standards, performing Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), and supporting obsolescence management. You will proactively collaborate with technical colleagues to question concepts and develop data modules, while also conducting availability, reliability, and maintainability (RAM) analyses. This role is unique as it spans the entire project lifecycle—from identifying ILS risks during the bidding phase to conducting training sessions for clients. Working for a global leader like Siemens Energy, you will contribute to complex maritime solutions ranging from automation and power generation to propulsion systems for both commercial and naval vessels, including submarines.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a certified Technician qualification with extensive professional experience.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), Integrated Product Support (IPS), or Service Engineering within civil or military sectors
  • Extensive experience in analyzing circuit diagrams and describing technical relationships
  • Professional experience in project execution, engineering, or commissioning of industrial plants
  • Experience in shipbuilding (surface or underwater) or maintenance experience with the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) is highly desirable
  • Experience in creating electronic manuals and conducting technical training sessions
