Job Summary

This role involves serving as a central link between administrative departments and IT services within the City of Mönchengladbach. You will be responsible for defining IT strategies, developing hardware and software standards, and managing the digital transformation of the department. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating IT infrastructure for approximately 700 workstations, administering specialized software applications such as SoPart and kitaPLUS, and providing technical support to staff. You will also lead IT projects, create technical documentation, and conduct software training. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, Public Administration, Law, or Economics; or completion of Administrative Training II (Verwaltungslehrgang II).

Experience

  • At least 2 years of task-related professional experience for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in administrative, legal, or economic sciences
  • At least 2 years of experience in public administration processing (Sachbearbeitung) for non-IT degree holders
  • At least 2 years of task-related professional experience for candidates with a degree in Business Informatics or Administrative Informatics
  • Professional experience in project management and steering IT implementation processes
  • Experience in evaluating and optimizing technical processes
