As a Data Manager at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), you will play a pivotal role in two major research initiatives: the Hamburg City Health Study (HCHS) and the Global Cardiovascular Risk Consortium (GCVRC). Your daily responsibilities will involve the syntax-based preparation, maintenance, and management of raw data for scientific use, alongside performing quality assurance on complex epidemiological datasets. You will utilize SQL for structured data management and R for statistical analysis and automated plausibility checks. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to international cardiovascular research within a high-level clinical and scientific environment. Working in an interdisciplinary team, you will support the harmonization of global datasets and provide data-related consultancy to scientific partners. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Data Management, Medical Documentation, Medical Information Management, Computer Science, or equivalent qualifications.

Experience

  • Professional experience in data management or medical documentation

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing automated plausibility checks
  • Experience in descriptive statistical analysis and data exploration
  • Experience in collaborating with scientific partners and managing data transfers
  • Background in medicine, biology, or epidemiology is advantageous
