Job Summary

This role involves leading the administrative operations for a newly formed pastoral region within the Diocese of Münster, based in Ibbenbüren. As the Head of Administration, you will oversee all non-pastoral staff, including administrative assistants, musicians, sextons, and maintenance crews. Your primary mission is to relieve the lead pastors of administrative burdens by taking full responsibility for operational processes. You will serve as a strategic advisor to church boards, managing personnel, budgeting, accounting, real estate, and investment projects. This is a unique opportunity to shape a newly created position and actively drive major organizational change processes within the church structure. The position offers a high degree of autonomy, requiring a leader who can negotiate skillfully and work result-oriented within a team. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/FH) in Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent qualification such as the Administrative Training II (Verwaltungslehrgang II) or Diploma in Public Administration.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the field of finance, specifically in cameralistics or the New Municipal Finance Management (NKF)
  • Extensive leadership experience with the ability to manage diverse teams of non-pastoral staff
  • Proven experience in managing organizational change processes
  • Experience in committee work and navigating complex organizational structures
  • Professional background in negotiating and implementing administrative procedures
