Job Summary
As a Telecommunications Service Technician for DB InfraGO AG, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing essential railway telecommunications systems. Your daily responsibilities include performing independent maintenance and inspections on hazard alert systems, radio and transmission technology, information technology, and passenger information systems. You will be responsible for updating and creating system documentation following any modifications or new installations. This role offers a high degree of independence, as your workday begins and ends at your home with a company vehicle provided for local assignments. The position is ideal for those with a background in IT systems or communications electronics who enjoy technical field work. What makes this role unique is the combination of stable railway infrastructure work with the flexibility of a home-based start and end to the workday, alongside comprehensive training and long-term career development opportunities within the DB Group.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in Telecommunications, IT Systems Electronics, Communications Electronics, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Completed vocational training in telecommunications, IT systems electronics, communications electronics, or a comparable technical field
- Professional experience in the field of telecommunications is preferred
- Willingness to participate in scheduled on-call duty after completing necessary training
- Comfortable working at heights of up to 15 meters
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license is mandatory. Must be willing to participate in a long-term on-call standby rotation. Physical fitness for working at heights (up to 15m) is required.
