Job Summary

This role is part of the 'Virtual Museum' project, a collaborative initiative between the State Museum of Natural History Karlsruhe (SMNK), KIT, and DESY. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will lead the development of autonomous X-ray Serial Micro-Computed Tomography (SµCT) using synchrotron radiation. Your day-to-day work involves implementing hierarchical imaging workflows, integrating coherent X-ray optics, and developing AI-supported algorithms for image reconstruction and automated data acquisition. You will be responsible for transforming large biological collections into high-resolution digital twins for biodiversity research.
