Job Summary

This leadership position involves heading the Digitalization Department within the Office for Technical Services and Digitalization for the Uckermark District. You will be responsible for the strategic and conceptual development of digital administrative processes, including the implementation of digital records, Online Access Act (OZG) services, and innovative technologies like AI and Smart Country initiatives. Day-to-day, you will lead a team, analyze process workflows for optimization, manage the digital transformation through change management, and conduct staff training. This role is unique because it transcends purely operational management, offering the chance to set decisive impulses for the future readiness and innovation of the entire district administration. You will act as a key advisor to department heads and coordinate complex integration projects within a modern, flexible public sector environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Public Management, General Administration, Administrative Sciences, or a comparable field; alternatively, completion of the Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt) advanced training (Angestellten-Lehrgang II).

Experience

  • Professional leadership experience required
  • Professional experience in public administration or public management
  • Experience in managing digital transformation projects (e.g., digital records, OZG)
  • Experience in process analysis and solution integration within administrative structures
  • Experience in conducting employee training and change management initiatives
