Job Summary

As an Electrical Technician at the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), you will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of facilities within the Technical Monitoring Center. Based in Wiesbaden but seconded to the Federal Agency for Real Estate (BImA), your daily work involves monitoring low and medium-voltage power supply systems, managing building control systems (GLT), and operating fire alarm management systems. You will analyze alarm messages, perform targeted troubleshooting, and conduct minor maintenance on critical infrastructure including emergency power supplies, UPS systems, and large-scale battery units. This role is unique for its high-security environment and requires participation in a 24/7 shift rotation to maintain continuous facility safety. It offers the stability of a federal public service position with a meaningful mission in national security infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification with a completed vocational training in the electrical field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering or electronics
  • 5 years of professional experience in a relevant field if no technician degree is held
  • Experience in supervising external contractors for maintenance and repairs
  • Experience in operating building control and monitoring systems

Languages
