Job Summary

This full-time, permanent role involves leading the Climate Protection team for the City of Aachen, a key participant in the EU mission for 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team while developing strategic goals alongside department leadership. Key tasks include operationalizing climate processes, monitoring integrated climate protection concepts (IKSK), and managing municipal heat and energy planning. You will act as a central coordinator for cross-departmental measures, acquire funding through national and EU programs, and build essential networks and partnerships. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between technical environmental engineering and administrative communication.
