As the Head of IT at the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management (RWTH Aachen University), you will take full responsibility for the strategic planning, operation, and continuous development of the institute's IT infrastructure and services. Your daily activities will involve leading IT personnel, ensuring system availability, and implementing robust IT security and data archiving processes. A unique aspect of this role is the hands-on software development for hydraulic engineering experiments in collaboration with scientific staff and the measurement technology department. You will also be responsible for training junior software developers and system integration specialists.
