Job Summary
This role serves as the central coordination point for electrical engineering within the Technical Facility Management department at RWTH Aachen University. You will be responsible for the holistic management of complex research and infrastructure projects, overseeing everything from planning and tendering to final execution. Day-to-day, you will act as the representative for the university in dealings with external partners, manage construction measures across all HOAI service phases, and provide expert technical advice to various university institutes. The position is unique for its involvement in high-profile projects like 'Zukunft Rheinisches Revier' and offers a high degree of autonomy within a supportive team environment. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Master's or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Facility Management; alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in the same fields combined with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in energy and building technology within an engineering or planning office environment
- 5 years of experience in planning and construction management required if holding a Bachelor's degree
- Extensive experience in managing project phases 1-9 according to HOAI
- Proven track record in coordinating complex technical trades and infrastructure projects
- Experience in preparing, checking, and negotiating service specifications and tender documents
