Job Summary
As a Senior Offshore Service Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing offshore wind turbine generators (WTGs) in the North Sea. Your daily responsibilities will involve performing complex maintenance, conducting technical inspections, and leading troubleshooting efforts for both electrical and mechanical systems. Beyond technical tasks, you will provide guidance to less experienced technicians and ensure all work meets rigorous health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. This position is ideal for technical experts who thrive in challenging environments and enjoy high levels of responsibility. The role offers a unique 14/14 rotation schedule (14 days on, 14 days off), providing a distinct work-life balance for offshore professionals. Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanics.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the maintenance and repair of wind energy turbines
- Proven experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Professional experience in an offshore environment is highly preferred
- Experience in providing technical guidance or mentoring to junior staff
- Experience working with digital maintenance systems such as SAP
Languages
Additional
- Must be willing to work an offshore rotation model (14 days on/14 days off). Valid GWO Basic Safety Training is required. Must have or be willing to obtain G41 medical fitness certification. HUET certification is optional but beneficial. This is a permanent employment position; freelancers and subcontractors will not be considered.
