Job Summary

As an Analytical Scientist specializing in Quantitative Mass Spectrometry, you will serve as the analytical backbone for quantifying diagnostically relevant parameters at Roche. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve applying complex mass spectrometric Reference Measurement Methods (RMPs) and performing precise quantification of analytes to ensure patients worldwide receive reliable results. You will actively support the development and validation of new RMPs, optimize existing procedures, and develop sample preparation techniques such as Solid Phase Extraction (SPE). Working within a collaborative R&D environment, you will handle potentially infectious materials responsibly, maintain high quality standards through SOP documentation, and perform software-based data evaluation. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented scientist who enjoys bridging the gap between instrumental analytics and global healthcare diagnostics within a supportive, innovation-driven team.

Required Skills

Education

Master of Science or Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Multi-year hands-on experience in Liquid Chromatography (LC) and Mass Spectrometry (MS)
  • Proven expertise in the evaluation and interpretation of complex mass spectrometry data
  • Professional experience in sample preparation techniques and quality management systems
