Job Summary

This role involves joining the General Administration of the Max Planck Society, Germany's most prestigious research organization, as a Specialist for IT Procurement. Working 19.5 hours per week, the successful candidate will manage the planning and implementation of new procurement instruments with institute-wide impact. A key focus of this position is the integration of Artificial Intelligence into daily purchasing processes, from identifying use cases to final modeling and testing. Additionally, you will represent the procurement department in the central migration project to SAP S/4HANA and SAP SRM successor products. You will be responsible for conducting complex procurement procedures specifically within the IT segment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving multifaceted challenges in a public procurement environment and is eager to work with cutting-edge procurement systems. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed University or University of Applied Sciences degree (e.g., Bachelor's or Diploma in Public Administration, Industrial Engineering, or another relevant field).

Experience

  • Professional experience in public procurement or deep knowledge of public award regulations
  • Experience handling AI applications, ideally within a purchasing or procurement context
  • Proven track record in managing IT-specific procurement procedures
  • Experience in project participation, specifically regarding ERP migrations (SAP)
  • Experience in solving complex legal and technical issues within procurement
