Job Summary

This is a high-impact leadership role within the Max Planck Society (MPG), Germany's most prestigious research organization. As the Head of the newly established Sustainability Office, you will spearhead the implementation of ambitious climate goals outlined in the MPG Climate Action Plan. Your day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating organization-wide sustainability and energy management systems, managing interfaces between research institutes and administrative departments, and ensuring compliance with energy efficiency legislation. You will be responsible for building and leading a team of experts, developing reporting structures for CO2 footprints, and representing the organization in internal and external committees.
