Job Summary

As a System Engineer for Software Development at Siemens Healthineers, you will play a pivotal role in advancing In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) systems. Your daily responsibilities involve analyzing and supporting the development of medical diagnostic products, acting as a critical bridge between hardware and software integration. You will implement customer requirements, conduct development-supporting pre-tests using specialized tools, and adapt assay functionality for laboratory devices. Beyond technical execution, you will serve as a consultant to development teams and collaborate with Product Management to drive product evolution. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in a natural science or technical field (e.g., Computer Science). Alternatively, a completed vocational training in a technical field (e.g., IT Specialist, Mathematical-Technical Software Developer) combined with additional qualifications and extensive professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a technical field, preferably within medical technology
  • Experience in software development projects, ideally as a Software Developer or System Engineer
  • Experience working in agile project organizations with international, distributed teams
  • Proven track record in coordinating with departments, customers, suppliers, and technical partners
  • Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and using log-file analysis tools
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, specifically within the Siemens Healthineers environment, is preferred
