PhD Student in Translational Immuno-Dermatology | PhD position (f/m/d)
Universitätsklinikum Erlangen AöR
Job Summary
This PhD position is based within the Translational Immuno-Dermatology research group at Universitätsklinikum Erlangen, focusing on the molecular mechanisms of T cell migration in inflammatory bowel disease. As a doctoral researcher, you will investigate how regulatory T cells enter, reside in, and exit inflamed tissues to optimize therapeutic interventions for long-term remission. The role involves a mix of laboratory work, including flow cytometry and cell culture, and method development within a highly interdisciplinary environment. This position is particularly attractive due to its strong translational focus, offering the unique opportunity to see laboratory findings progress toward clinical application. You will be part of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center 'CASCAID', providing a robust academic network and a stable contract through late 2029. The role is ideal for a motivated life scientist looking to bridge the gap between basic immunology and clinical therapy.
