Job Summary

This role involves leading the administrative operations for the newly formed 'Pastoral Spaces' within the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Münster. As the Head of Administration, you will oversee all non-pastoral staff, including secretarial, maintenance, and music personnel, while relieving parish priests of operational administrative burdens. You will serve as a strategic advisor to church boards on matters of human resources, budgeting, accounting, real estate management, and investment projects. This position is particularly unique as it offers the opportunity to actively shape a new job profile during a period of significant structural change within the church. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/FH) in Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent qualification such as the Higher Administrative Service (Verwaltungslehrgang II or Diploma in Administration).

Experience

  • Professional experience in financial management, specifically in Cameralistics or New Municipal Finance Management (NKF)
  • Proven leadership experience and the ability to manage diverse teams of non-pastoral staff
  • Experience in managing organizational change processes and structural transitions
  • Experience working with committees and governing boards
  • Professional background within church administrative structures is highly desirable
