This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the Messel Research Station, a UNESCO World Heritage site, within the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research. As a Student Research Assistant, you will play a vital role in the preservation and documentation of paleontological specimens. Your day-to-day responsibilities include preparing fossils for examination, maintaining glycerine-filled specimen containers, and documenting findings in Excel. You will also be responsible for photographing fossils, organizing storage drawers, and preparing delicate scientific loans for transport. This role is ideal for students who enjoy meticulous, hands-on work with natural history collections.
