Job Summary

As an IT Service Operations Manager at BwBM in Cologne, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of IT infrastructure for the German Federal Armed Forces' clothing management. You will be responsible for overseeing a diverse service landscape, including backup systems, monitoring, virtualization, Active Directory, and Azure-based services. Your daily activities involve steering external IT service providers, monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and collaborating closely with internal IT architecture and portfolio management teams. Required Skills

Education

IT-related vocational training (e.g., Fachinformatiker) or a university degree in a relevant field; certifications such as ITIL, MS-900, SC-900, or SC-300 are highly desirable.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Service Management, preferably within IT services, industry, or the public sector
  • Professional experience in steering and collaborating with external IT service providers
  • Practical knowledge of backup, monitoring, virtualization, and Active Directory environments
  • Demonstrated experience in contract controlling and service level reporting
