Job Summary
This role involves working within a specialized engineering team for an international pharmaceutical plant manufacturer in Elsdorf. As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for the development, optimization, and programming of control systems for high-availability freeze-drying plants. Your day-to-day tasks include working with Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell ControlLogix, creating technical documentation according to GAMP5 guidelines, and performing commissioning of systems both locally and abroad. This position is unique for its hybrid work model after the initial onboarding phase and the opportunity for permanent takeover by the client. It offers a structured 35-hour work week within a specialized engineering environment, making it an excellent opportunity for technical professionals looking to apply automation expertise in the pharmaceutical sector.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in electronics (e.g., Industrial Electrician) plus further qualification as a Technician/Master Electrician or a Degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in PLC programming specifically with Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell ControlLogix
- Experience in creating technical documentation according to GAMP5 guidelines
- Practical experience in the commissioning of industrial plants or systems
- Experience working with industrial bus systems such as Profinet or Ethernet/IP
- Background in pharmaceutical plant engineering or high-availability systems is preferred
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel for occasional international assignments within Europe (e.g., Belgium, Italy, Switzerland). Must be able to work on-site in Elsdorf with a maximum of 2 days remote work per week after onboarding.
