Job Summary

This role involves the hardware engineering of switchgear systems within the pharmaceutical plant construction sector, specifically focusing on high-availability freeze-drying (lyophilization) systems. As part of a five-person engineering team, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating circuit diagrams using EPLAN P8 and performing CAE/CAD-supported design based on existing standards. Daily tasks include integrating PLC controllers and supporting initial commissioning and power-on procedures. This position is particularly attractive due to its structured 35-hour work week, 'Equal Pay' from day one under the GVP collective agreement, and a clear option for permanent takeover by the client after the initial 12-month temporary assignment. The role offers a hybrid work model with up to two days of remote work following the initial onboarding phase in Elsdorf.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in electrical engineering (e.g., Industrial Electrician) plus further qualification as a State-Certified Technician, Master Electrician, or a University Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in hardware design, control cabinet construction, or circuit plan creation
  • Mandatory expert-level proficiency in EPLAN P8
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical plant construction environment is preferred
  • Experience with PLC control systems integration
  • Background in commissioning or initial electrical startup of systems
