Job Summary

This role involves the timely and economical commissioning of High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems at global sites, with a specific focus on data networks and communication components. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for the setup and monitoring of TCP/IP-based network infrastructure, HMI concepts, and time synchronization systems. You will act as a key interface for signal converters and provide technical support to customers and partners for troubleshooting communication interfaces. The position is highly dynamic, requiring participation in quality and risk management as well as continuous improvement programs like Lean and Lessons Learned. This role is particularly attractive for engineers who enjoy international travel and working on large-scale energy infrastructure projects. It offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge high-technology systems with a permanent contract and flexible working models.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable technical qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the commissioning of HVDC systems or industrial communication networks
  • Practical experience in network infrastructure, specifically with TCP/IP, switches, and routers
  • Experience in PC administration and virtualization technologies
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical circuit diagrams
  • Experience working on international construction sites or offshore platforms is preferred
