As the Engineering Team Lead for Grid Automation in Germany, you will take full responsibility for the implementation of secondary substation systems in AC substations. This strategic leadership role involves defining technical strategies for Protection, Control, and SCADA solutions while ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will act as a critical bridge between technical and commercial departments, collaborating with Sales, Tendering, and Project Management to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions for the German market. A significant portion of your role involves building, mentoring, and coaching a diverse local team while coordinating with international teams overseas to maximize performance. You will analyze customer needs early in the process to guide the development of commercially viable and technologically advanced solutions, ensuring projects are executed within timeline and budget. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in substation control and protection systems within energy transmission, distribution, and renewable integration
  • Long-term leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams across different cultures and locations
  • Several years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Project Lead with a focus on strategic direction
  • Extensive experience in both brownfield and greenfield projects for secondary systems in High Voltage (HV) substations
  • Proven track record in implementing new engineering methods and business models
