Job Summary

In this pivotal role at Siemens Energy, you will lead the development and daily operations of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Diagnostics Center. Your day-to-day activities involve overseeing the real-time monitoring of utility-scale energy assets, conducting root cause analysis for technical faults in batteries and inverters, and implementing predictive maintenance strategies through data analytics. You will act as a role model for a customer-first culture while managing a team of diagnostic specialists. The position is highly strategic, requiring you to develop the processes and procedures that form the foundation of the BDC’s success. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • Long-term relevant operational and customer-facing experience in energy infrastructure or power plants
  • Several years of specific experience in BESS operation, monitoring, and diagnostics
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Professional experience with service models such as Long Term Service Agreements (LTSAs)
  • Experience in performance data analysis and implementation of optimization measures

Languages

English (Fluent)

Additional

  • Knowledge of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety), grid codes, and market requirements is required. Ability to work in a full-time, permanent capacity in a global team environment.
